Trouble:

the other farmers are not up to the ideals of farmer scott, he would argue. but he is most unhappy about the non reaction that the heads of market have given to his complaints. i wonder if the consumer should be educated through the farmers. announcing what he has, and how it is grown. this would make people aware of their choices. i don't think most peeps give much thought to food decisions...

The Downtown Mpls Farmer's Market does have people selling stuff from bigger veg wholesalers, but they don't tend to carry the same things as the local farmers, so you can shop at both and not repeat yourself.

I saw the Shaking Ray Levis open for Derek Bailey at the Church of Existentialism in Atlanta 13 years ago. Great show!

I think that if you put "local" in there, though, it has to be local. I would also include middlemen who are selling entirely local produce from other farmers. Some folks are good at business, others are good at selling.

I don't have problems with the wholesalers if they are paying attention to other vendors. They should not come in with cucumbers if they are in season and the locals are selling them. But if they have pineapples and mangos, well, yeah.

Sem: & for the little shelf speakers in the bedroom, Infinity compares well to both Polk & Bose - even though smaller !
