I'd say it's just politics as usual, but the Executive Branch has been making people resign rather than saying it's only politics, so they must be worried about actual criminal liability and how far up in the chain it may go.

	10:49am Jeff: Somebody - might've been Kurt - played some piece which was composed just to use tones in a certain frequency range. Which sounds like a cool idea. It was nothing but thoroughly unpleasant. But the frequency range in that case was all in the high thousands or low tens of thousands of hertz - I don't remember exactly now. All the piece did was annoy me and give me a nagging incipient headache / earache. It was really thoroughly unpleasant.
