Marmalade Kitty:

I still miss my vintage 60's gramaphone, which was donated by my aunty.. you could stack singles for continuous play! not sure if the singles liked it tho
  3:17am
Jay/ London:

it was a party at my place for my birthday ... my brother took me out for a pub lunch it was ok @ steve justin Bieber ?????
  3:19am
Steve:

I wasn't sure what the American Music Awards were and that was the headliner on the site so I got my explanation
  3:19am
Jay/ London:

@ Marmalade Kitty I still have one of those Record Players works just like new
Avatar 3:20am
Bill mac:

Hi MK, sorry it took so long to get back to you. I just finished typing Liechtenstiener Polka into the playlist. My mom still has a twenties model grammophone that plays 78s. It doesn't get played too much anymore but it serves as a nice piece of furniture
  3:21am
Marmalade Kitty:

oops, that was a radiogram, not gramaphone..
  3:24am
Jay/ London:

not many radiograms around now as they take up so much room, i used to have one had to get rid of it when i moved
Avatar 3:29am
Bill mac:

I've never heard of them referred to as radiograms. They play stacks of 45s though right?
  3:31am
Steve:

and our fine lady represents a mamogram
Avatar 3:39am
Bill Mac:

Thanks to Rex from CT for your pledge.
  3:43am
Jay/ London:

A Radiogram is a radio as well as a gramophone player that's why the name
Avatar 3:47am
Bill mac:

I thought that would be the case... yeah, that's a classic combination for sure.
  3:49am
Jay/ London:

they are very BIG
  3:51am
Marmalade Kitty:

like a polished wooden sideboard, which on opening would reveal a built in radio/record player.. very late 50's, 60's (check out radiogram google images)
  3:52am
Emile:

Hi Bill, hi gang... seems we're old-timey land this morning, nice...

Brian in UK:

Hello Bill, Jay, MK, steve & emile.
Funny I was only talking about radiograms yesterday. There were more than a record player & radio. They were furniture.
  4:10am
Jay/ London:

yes i am now thinking just maybe i could find room for one as they are so cheap
Avatar 4:11am
Bill mac:

Hey Brian, yeah, they remind me of the console stereos they useta have. Some threw in a TV for good measure.
Avatar 4:11am
Bill mac:

They are big aren't they Jay?
  4:12am
Emile:

What a weird and mean-spirited record that Linda Laurie was!
