  3:15am

  3:18am
Jay/ London:

  3:18am
Martyn:

Jay, you're not the only one.
  3:23am
KP:

Bill, guess where I've been working tonight, all this week and for the foreseeable future.
Avatar 3:23am
Bill mac:

KP howsit goin? So like i've told you all before, I live about 90 miles south of here, and 50 miles East of work. On Wednesday morning there was yet another storm that hugged the eastern shoreline. I heard it was a bit rough near work, but I looked out my window and lo and behold, everything is dry. I ran the car wipers twice and got on the road. It was all clear til about 10 miles east of where I work. They got 8 inches of snow, tree were down everywhere. Twas like a war zone. KP were you far enough away to escape the wrath of Sandi..... where you working these days?
  3:24am
Brian in Uk:

I knew I was getting older when seated gigs seemed enticing. Having said that, The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble recently disproved that idea.
Avatar 3:24am
Bill mac:

So everyone is well over 50 here;)
  3:24am
Jay/ London:

am still young at heart Martyn :)
  3:25am
Martyn:

I think everyone here is.
  3:26am
Martyn:

... young at heart I mean, not necessarily over 50.
Avatar 3:26am
Bill mac:

Yeah, that Swans show was SRO - my knees were locked for a day or so... you gotta limber up a bit if you're gonna stand that long.
  3:26am
Stanley:

Yep!
  3:27am
KP:

I sort of remember 50.
  3:28am
Martyn:

That's more than I do KP

It's more than a feeling, Martyn. As Boston used to warble
Avatar 3:31am
Bill mac:

Now you're dating yourself KP.... get out the Carbon14
  3:32am
KP:

Our offices down on battery by ferry were flooded and polluted by fuel. We worked in midtown and now in JC. most of this time I had no power/heat at home.
  3:32am
Brian in Uk:

We are lucky bastards now no world wars to fight. We just got stress.
  3:33am
Jay/ London:

i am going on the morning bound train .. hope i can get the show on the phone later all
Avatar 3:33am

Flutatious? Are they anything like any of the Hawk-family bands?
  3:34am

Boston? I remember the Boss-town Sound. ultimate spinach and somebody else.
Avatar 3:34am
Bill mac:

Wasn't Duke and the Drivers from Boston?
  3:35am

Anyway a shuttle bus takes us out of Jersey City and back to reality.
  3:36am
michael and birgit:

Good Morning Bill. Whole Familiy listeneing to your show, having breakfast. Congratulations to the election and all the best for the repairs of all damage in the station.

Avatar 3:36am

I finally got what you were talking about KP. You should drop by sometime if you're in the neighborhood.
  3:37am
KP:

Jersey City is freaking huge.
  3:37am
Brian in Uk:

Kind of, bit trance-like, can be a bit heavyish in that style, as heavy as flutes get. I will see if I can liberate a copy of the new album for you if you are interested, Bill.
  3:37am
Scuttle:

Agh french is my favorite- as always, great stuff
Avatar 3:38am
Bill mac:

I'd be happy to fit it in on the show if possible too!

Hello Michael & Birgit!!
  3:38am
Stanley:

Hi Bill - what was the volume like at Swans. I'm going to see them friday and I heard they are way loud!
  3:41am
Bill Mac:

Thanks to Arne for pledging once again!!!!

Listen to Station Manager Ken's state of the station address http://www.wfmu.org/playlists/shows/48084
  3:46am
michael and birgit:

Stanley: Swans?,...great, but save your ears. Saw them in Berlin.
  3:48am
KP:

Ok, in car, next leg of journey.
Avatar 3:49am
Bill mac:

Michael, how did you like the show?
  3:55am
michael and birgit:

The last show was impressive but not so consequent as the show last summer in cologne. A bit more from the new album, but I´m not so used with that. The location "Berghain" was really one of the best and the swans fit in that perfect.
  3:56am
jay/london:

the phone works fime bill!! fit
first time i use it to listen
Avatar 3:57am
Bill mac:

I went in there not expecting anything but for them to be LOUD - lots of dynamics, but very intense. The new album is pretty great.

Problems with Mr G, Stanley?
  4:02am
michael and birgit:

I discovered them late. My Band took me there for the show as a" must have seen". There were right. ...and Mr. G.? Oh i`m not a fan, but respect for his quality.
  4:11am
Brian in UK:

'So' is being reissued,25 years. ELO rerecorded and reissued. Do not get it. I blame Amazon for this faux anniversary bullshit.
Avatar 4:12am
Bill mac:

I heard "Solsbury Hill" from his 1st album on a movie I was watching last week so I thought it might be nice to revisit him. Lotsa Crimson & Eno flourishes on his early stuff, but the material is all 80s through & through.
Avatar 4:14am
Bill mac:

I don't mind commemorating material that was missed the first time around, but there's something about the money grab of repackaging history that bugs me too...
  4:17am
Stanley:

Avatar 4:18am

do you have your cellphone on... hey, when did the math problems go away?
Avatar 4:19am
Bill mac:

I kinda remember a message that said they were going away.
  4:20am
Brian in UK:

CDs, especially in crystal cases leave a lot to be desired. The only redeeming feature for me is the wonderful rise of the compilation. I have heard so much music that would otherwise have faded away.
  4:22am
jay/london:

its so much better without the maths on the moby bill
  4:24am
Brian in UK:

@kp is that you smiling?
  4:25am

@ Brian ..and there's this new thing. An artist' s entire output all 27 albums re-released for 130 quid. Great!
