  12:38am
the glowing one:

  12:39am
Jack:

I hear we're running out of helium.
  12:40am
Deepak:

its just sleigh bell
  12:40am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

I spent an after show drinking with Derek from Sleigh Bells. We ended up going n about the greatness of Fleetwood Mac's "Tusk" and gave everyone in our party Fleetwood Mac nicknames.
  12:41am

I think molybdenum might be the goofiest name, except for those new ones with number names like ununseptium, ununoctium etc.
Avatar 12:42am
Therese:

Everyone should have a Fleetwood Mac nickname.

Not an element, but I like sulfur hexafluoride:

BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

The UK-issued CD of "Tusk" is the way to go. Remastered and comes with an extra disc with demos, alternate takes and single versions.
  12:50am
the glowing one:

I've never really gotten into Fleetwood Mac, which albums should I avoid at all costs?

BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

@the glowing one: I would say anything after "Tusk." I really like the FM stuff from when Peter Green was in the band. The older FM titles for the most part are in desperate need of remastering. The CDs sound quite poor. There was a really good boxed set of Peter Green-era FM that came out about ten years ago. I don't know if it's still in print or not. It had five or six CDs and was in the $40 range. If you use Spotify I'd see what they have on there and sample some different albums.
  1:03am
the glowing one:

I figured, usually with bands that had their hayday in the 70s but who lastet til the 80s and beyond I try to avoid the post '79 albums
  1:05am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

Do It! Talk smack about stroller pilots!!!
  1:05am
the glowing one:

strollers used to be like this:

Just tuned in- that last piece was a great track-
  1:06am
ScottC:

I like the stroller pushers that use the stroller with the baby in it as the lead- nosing out into a REALLY busy intersection...

Have you seen the animated gif with Diddy calling Bjork? I watched it earlier. It still cracks me up.

I get Wooden Wand and Wovenhand confused on a fairly regular basis,
  1:34am
the glowing one:

I like Wovenhand and 16 Horsepower
  1:37am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

I saw Wovenhand and Serena Maneesh together about a year and a half ago. Solid show.

I love Gate! Thanks!
  1:40am
the glowing one:

nice. serena maneesh is quite good, too. but a differente genre, so I wonder why they did a tour together...
  1:44am
the glowing one:

although I've been on such a double gig before... silver mt. zion orchestra + death cab for cutie, what a contrast. the hipster crowd left when death cab was done. I stayed because I wanted to see both actually.
  1:47am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

I enjoy mismatched bills like that. There's always a bunch here in Dallas around South By Southwest. So many bands trying to find an extra gig on the way down or back. Clubs just book four or five bands and hope for the best.
  1:52am
the glowing one:

speaking of mismatches, I think Therese should play the new Madonna album during the remaining hour :P
Avatar 1:54am
Therese:

You joke, but if I had the new Madonna album, I would play the new Madonna album.
  1:54am
the glowing one:

you're only saying that because you don't have the new Madonna album
  1:56am
Dan:

Someone gift Therese the new Madonna album from iTunes!
  1:56am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

The first rule about having the new Madonna album is not talking about having the new Madonna album.
  1:57am
the glowing one:

tomorrow MDNA appears in WFMU's new bin
  1:57am
Madonna:

Justify My Stuff
  2:04am
the glowing one:

  2:06am
New Madonna Album:

Don't worry, I sound as crappy as the rest of them.
  2:08am
the glowing one:

Madonna was never about the music anyway, it was always about Madonna.
  2:12am
New Madonna Album:

No, really?
  2:15am
the glowing one:

Yes, really.
  2:18am
Dan:

She never had any band mates to have that ''It used to be about the music, maaaan! '' argument with.
  2:18am
New Madonna Album:

When you're right, you're right. *Slinks off to remainder bin in corner, pulls out bottle of Jack to share with Lulu*.
  2:22am
the glowing one:

the fact that Torche signed with the record label of a snowboard fashion brand touches me more than anything Madonna ever did
Avatar 2:23am
Therese:

I thought it was motorcycle apparel?
  2:25am
the glowing one:

"Volcom caters to the surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding markets" aaah. Extreme sports are so 90s.
  2:29am
glenn:

i have a lot in common with madge. she can't sing, dance or act, and neither can i.
  2:33am
the glowing one:

Yes, we can agree on that. I love how Mike Patton constantly mocked them.
  2:58am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

I suppose some Stevie Nicks was inevitable. :)
  2:59am
the glowing one:

yeah
  3:01am

Good night, Therese!
