Oh my, another brilliant FMU DJ I didn't really know about. Gee, only been listening for 10 years! Hello!
  12:23am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

@musikoff: It could be like that art school test that was always in the back of TV Guide decades ago.
  12:28am
musikoff:

@BGZ Heh, totally. Somewhere I have version of that pirate and turtle as drawn by the great underground cartoonists of today.
  12:35am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

I'm going to start a group called Pub Enemy and release an album called "Fear Of A Drunk Planet."

Your Secret Kurt Loder Ring?
  1:28am
KP:

I'll say Therese wants to know if there's any good gossip re: Kurt Loder. How many "e's" in Therese?
  1:29am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

One of the bars I frequent has "Tally Ho!" on their jukebox.

Therese:

Sometimes it is hard to tell which speed is preferable until the record is well underway.
  1:43am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

It's been almost a year since the one and only time I got to see LCD Soundsystem. I flew up to NYC for the second Terminal 5 farewell show. The next night I was at the NYC Opera for John Zorn's Masada Marathon. Over seven hours of live music between the two nights. It was tremendous!
  1:46am
MQ:

My Kurt Loder De-Coder RIng is the yellow one. The red ones are really hard to find. The blue ones are pretty easy to locate, but you'd better be ready to part with some cash. $200-300, at least.
  2:22am
Deepak:

I'l have to find this Electronic Soul compilation.
Avatar 2:23am
Therese:

Here's an embarrassing confession- I went to see John Zorn's Masada at the Knitting Factory in the mid-90s. I was fighting a cold and fell fast asleep about halfway through the set.
Avatar 2:27am
Therese:

Deepak- it's distributed by the Numero Group, so it shouldn't be that hard to find.
  2:39am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

@Therese: I'll be the first to admit that much of Zorn's work is an acquired taste. Masada is one of his more restrained projects [versus Naked City, Hemophiliac or Painkiller]. I've only seen Zorn perform with Masada. I'm hoping to be in NYC in June for Mogwai's pair of shows at Webster Hall. I'm hoping Zorn will be up to some sort of sonic shenanigans at The Stone.

I fell asleep at a Nine Inch Nails concert out of sheer boredom. It happens. Someone should write a magazine article about that. Instead of inquiring about records/shows that changed people's lives ask which shows they fell asleep during.

You get a byline in the article in lieu of points.
  3:01am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

Tom looks like Billy Joel crossed with Terence Stamp on that sleeve.
