"I fancy him at the court of Minos, anxious to know what sort of unmentionable monster the Minotaur may be, whether he is as frightful as all that or perhaps charming?" - Albert Camus (Visit homepage.)

Is the sports bleed an intentional joke after the HnM, or something else?

The story goes that McCartney heard a piccolo trumpet being played in a performance of the Brandenburg Concertos, and asked George Martin if it could be used for the Penny Lane solo. Several solos had already been recorded for the song, but McCartney thought none was what he envisioned. The rest is piccolo trumpet history (it was a minor classical instrument before Penny Lane).

Actually, my hearing has been good. It's my concentration that sucks. I'm not deaf, it just seems like it.

I have ultrasonic hearing (albeit it has gotten weaker since I've been going to loud concerts/parties/rehearsals), and the sine wave tone drives my brain crazy, but I like it. I can hear if any electronic device is on in a room, or a burglar alarm is armed, just hearing the ultrasonic frequencies they emit.
