	10:47pm David B: Great movie! I saw it at Lincoln Center two summers back as part of the Clint Eastwood retrospective. The screening I attended included Fistful of Dollars, Dirty Harry, and a skype chat with the man himself. During the chat, Eastwood talked about a prank he pulled on set. The bartender was played by a director he had worked with numerous times, and as revenge for having to do so many takes for him, he had the director perform the same take 20 times before Eastwood told the camera operators to put film in the camera!

	10:58pm Caryn: I find it interesting how the King books reference one another. He tends to use the same regions in his books. So for instance, Paul Sheldon drives past the Overlook Hotel in "Misery" before getting into his car crash.

D. picked Fargo, which he had seen (I had not). Prostitutes & wood chipper AWKWARD. D. explained later that he thought his mom would appreciate 'a strong female lead'

	11:01pm PB: Continuing on the movie theme, Fargo is far and away my favorite Coen brothers movie. It's brilliant.

	11:05pm Caryn: "Stand By Me" is a great Stephen King movie. As is "The Dead Zone". @Holly: Talk about awkward movie viewing experiences, our high school religion teacher told us at the start of one lesson: "We're gonna watch a movie to illustrate today's theme. I haven't seen it, but I understand it's about the seven deadly sins." It was "Se7en". I think we all spent most of the movie staring at the teacher's face as it slowly dawned on him that this was maybe not the best movie choice. (Though it was still less awkward than the time in university when the lecturer fastforwarded his video a little too much, past the stuff we were supposed to watch, to the porn he had taped after it.)

	11:09pm Caryn: @Holly: really, both incidents illustrate the personality of the teachers. Our religion teacher was a naive dear, very meek and sweet. Our university lecturer came off extremely skeevy, with missing teeth, a bad combover and a distinct odour of old minced meat about him.

	11:13pm Caryn: I've had a long line of weird teachers, from the primary school PE teachers (one was a perv with a brown leather swimsuit who would smell the students, one was an anorexic) to the junior high substitute who would throw stuff at the students, to the guy who would just tell us stories about the time he was struck by lightning in Rome, to the high school teacher who tended to break at least 2 pointers a week and throw desks around.

However, this request was vetoed over concerns that his appearance might have had a deleterious effect on our Hellraiser efforts. He’s back today, though, spinning his favorite ‘80s (mostly) hard rock and hair metal just for you. Don’t (or maybe do) miss it!

	10:47pm David B: Great movie! I saw it at Lincoln Center two summers back as part of the Clint Eastwood retrospective. The screening I attended included Fistful of Dollars, Dirty Harry, and a skype chat with the man himself. During the chat, Eastwood talked about a prank he pulled on set. The bartender was played by a director he had worked with numerous times, and as revenge for having to do so many takes for him, he had the director perform the same take 20 times before Eastwood told the camera operators to put film in the camera!

As is "The Dead Zone". @Holly: Talk about awkward movie viewing experiences, our high school religion teacher told us at the start of one lesson: "We're gonna watch a movie to illustrate today's theme. I haven't seen it, but I understand it's about the seven deadly sins." It was "Se7en". I think we all spent most of the movie staring at the teacher's face as it slowly dawned on him that this was maybe not the best movie choice. (Though it was still less awkward than the time in university when the lecturer fastforwarded his video a little too much, past the stuff we were supposed to watch, to the porn he had taped after it.)
