Every show starts with the ’70s! We’ll rediscover forgotten rockers, revisit unfairly maligned disco beats and replay power-pop favorites. Next: plenty of new releases, occasional live bands and more. Don’t let the nickname confuse you.

Clearly I am not efd, but if I were 10 and cool I'd probably like devendra's 'lend me your teeth' for the surrealism, or lillian leach's 'i'm gonna pick your teeth with an ice pick' for the violence.
Note I am an aunt, not a parent ;-)

EFD I think you would really dig Natural Child, their LP "1971" was also in the new bin for awhile, might be gone now though. Got exactly.... zero plays according to accuplaylist. sigh.

@Holly: Talk about awkward movie viewing experiences, our high school religion teacher told us at the start of one lesson: "We're gonna watch a movie to illustrate today's theme. I haven't seen it, but I understand it's about the seven deadly sins." It was "Se7en". I think we all spent most of the movie staring at the teacher's face as it slowly dawned on him that this was maybe not the best movie choice. (Though it was still less awkward than the time in university when the lecturer fastforwarded his video a little too much, past the stuff we were supposed to watch, to the porn he had taped after it.)
SteveL:
Holly in NC:
And I grew up on Stephen King, everything through It.
And Kathy Bates in Misery strongest female lead ever ? ;-)
Holly in NC:
BOTH your stories are priceless. Especially re Se7en. Wow.

Was he at least funny? That same ex-husband was somewhat into him in his younger D&D, cosmic wimpout, Monty Python, Douglas Adams days.
