first crush?? the tv repair kid: he was 19 i was 10 ... i thought he was the hottest thing.. fast forward to the present: i was able to be with him and his a year ago, helping the family as she moved though her last days suffering from ALS. i still love him, but in a very deeper way..

Early crushes: Julie Newmar and Lee Meriwether as Catwomen (I know typical), but what do you want from a kid who was way into comics and running around his yard with a towel around his neck thinking he was Batman. Bunch of years it was Pam Grier, OH, and my speech therapist when I was in 2nd grade, Miss Flowers!
  7:46pm
frenchee:

the theme seems to be redheaded crushes!
I have had so many crushes, but one of the biggest and baddest was a certain chess-playing egghead named Nathan. Long beautiful red hair, freckled legs....
  7:47pm

  8:01pm
CB2:

My cousin's boyfriend who was the quarterback for the football team; she was the head cheerleader.
She married him and had two kids, he became a drunk and fell in a stupor, broke the bottle, sliced his aorta and bled to death to be found by his shy awkward son who has never recovered.
Typical Southern story.

  8:14pm
monica:

frencheee!!.... gail, ladeee!!! OMG, ME TOOO!!! for real... hi EX!
  8:16pm
Curious:

Reflecting on the reponses so far: If a major value of celebrities seen via visual media is their crushworthiness, does this make them culture-wide paid flirts? If so, is that just a recent variation on the "oldest profession"?
  8:17pm
issac TJ:

no matter how older I get .... i still turn into a 13 year old nerd when it comes to approaching a girl that I really like.. when there isn't any alcohol around
  8:17pm
ex:

'Llo again, Miss Mon and gang. Busy in the kitchen, but real quick, the first crush I can remember was classic -- fourth grade teacher, in her early to mid twenties, who spoke French and drove a blue '66 Mustang *in '66*. With a great short haircut and an adorable face. Was Catholic school. 'Spect she married an insurance man and had five kids. Or maybe, just maybe, she went a little crazy, moved to San Francisco and became a classic 70s disco fag hag. It could have happened ..

How 'bout celeb crushes? First time (only time, come to think of it) I ever saw Camile O'Sullivan was one of those major "God in heaven, who's that?!" moments. And I stood in front of the stage at FMU's Ponderosa Stomp rockabilly show at Damrosch Park a few summers back, unable to take my eyes off Lori Collins.
  8:55pm

Real-world crushes: too many to mention without completely filling up the comments list, especially during those seemingly-endless years before I felt the touch of a woman (but after I realized I really really needed to).

Here's a powerful celebrity crush from my teen years: Angie Dickinson, whom I first saw on Police Woman - she SMOLDERED.
  9:22pm
