Favoriting Bryce: Playlist from March 18, 2011 Favoriting

I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

  12:17pm

Bryce was probably undergoing "foodwear addiction" detox all week, and the release paperwork just took longer than he anticipated to fill out this morning.

Did Bryce murder her five minutes after last week's show ended? Haven't heard a peep from Ms. Vicki B., have we? She might be buried in the Pine Barrens somewhere...
  12:21pm

After all the hyper-activity in the Hoof and Mouth, perhaps time to put the feet up on the desk and play a three-hour drone track?

Mike East:

anecdote from the studio: Sister Act the Musical is rehearsing (very loudly) in the studio next to my desk. I am complaining to my wife about how I want shove pencils into my ears its so bad (I'm not a Broadway guy) and I turn Bryce up as loud as my office will allow. A woman comes out of the studio as I'm eating my lunch and says, "I wish I had your job; you get to sit here and listen to this all day" I almost spit my lunch out and died laughing...but I'm a professional.
  2:36pm
Mary Wing:

Mike, by "this" did she mean Bryce's show, or the Sister Act rehearsals?

Dead Corporate Eyes:

this sounds like an update on traditional native american drumming
  2:41pm
bryce:

yay, thanks! :)

hugo, the album is "grey scale". SO GOOD! the other side is similar instrumentation, and each song is one tiny repetetive thing that each instrumentalist is to play until he makes a mistake. the mistakes then get incorporated into the repetitions.

short little songs. so lovely
  2:46pm
Hugo:

I like the idea. Sometimes the mistakes are the most interesting parts of it.
  2:48pm
Dead Corporate Eyes:

of course, if Bryce played on it, he would have to keep playing the same thing forever, because...
  2:49pm
bryce:

MACHINE OR MANN-I-KAN
  2:52pm
Mike East:

Bryce - You do have a really good singing voice. Some of the Styx falsetto was a bit out of range (as it is for most men), but you nailed the lower stuff. Much respect.
  2:52pm
Tim:

You know, sometimes you genuinely hear something like you never heard before. i think this Morricone is one of those things
  2:53pm
dc pat:
