So - maybe the Avants are in their way actually more Traditional ...I mean - you pick up an Instrument (or - any Medium) - & - you express yourself. Whether you know Rules or not. Like Beefheart & TheShaggs arriving @ something comparable - against all likelihood. Maybe.
