	10:35am Gerry from Miami: Biggest GRAMMY robbery was when FLEETWOOD MAC nosed out STEELY DAN'S "AJA" for ALBUM OF THE YEAR. Then, (20-plus!) years later, the folks at NARAS make up for it by awarding the AOY trophy to the DAN'S "TWO AGAINST NATURE," certainly a consolation prize for their earlier gaffe. The later LP was probably the band's least-worthy collection ever. Such is the nature of awards. Some politics involved here.

	♥ 11:03am Karl: So one afternoon I was looking out my kitchen window and I saw a big groundhog struggling to climb this little tree in our neighbor's yard. My daughter was probably 7 or so at the time, and she watched it with me. This went on for minutes, it seemed like there was absolutely no way this groundhog was going to make it the four or so feet up the trunk to the first branch. It was comical, like watching a good Chris Farley skit. But the groundhog persisted, and a couple minutes later, it made it onto the branch. We were like "what now? is the groundhog going to go higher?" The groundhog rested for about a minute, perked up, looked around, and then scurried down the trunk and back into hiding. To this day, I wonder what was going on there. Was the groundhog just trying to prove it was possible? Was it looking for something? Was it just having fun?

	11:11am Gerry from Miami: Coincidentally, PJ, February 2, was my birthday(and has been for some time!). In 8th grade, I chose GROUNDHOG DAY as the topic for a 500-word writing assignment. But I couldn't find any information on the "holiday" anywhere in our school or public library. I was so embarrassed and when I failed to submit the paper, my English teacher had no recourse but to give me an F. When this day comes around each year, I get these weird feelings of my past failure. But I still love groundhogs! No hard feelings!

	♥ 11:15am Daybreak!: Here's an indoor animal encounter story: When I was my son's age, 11 or 12, my friends and I used to like to hang out in almost complete darkness, in my basement, playing video games. One morning while I was playing, I felt something soft brush against my leg. I thought it was my cat, but when I reached over to pet her there was nothing there. I jumped up screaming, as was the appropriate response, and so did all my friends. Once we got the lights on, we realized it was a 6 to 8 inch long, very skinny, mole that was blundering around the basement. My grandfather was visiting and came downstairs because of all the screaming. He took one disgusted look at all of us, reached down, grabbed the mole, and started carrying it upstairs to toss it out one of the doors. We all followed him. So we got to see the moment when, right as he got to the first floor, the mole bit him on the hand and he dropped it swearing! Now, all of the adults were screaming and chasing the mole around the first floor. They got it out eventually, but all that adult screaming sweet vindication! PS- my grandpa's finger was fine. It was only a flesh wound.

	♥ 11:03am Karl: So one afternoon I was looking out my kitchen window and I saw a big groundhog struggling to climb this little tree in our neighbor's yard. My daughter was probably 7 or so at the time, and she watched it with me. This went on for minutes, it seemed like there was absolutely no way this groundhog was going to make it the four or so feet up the trunk to the first branch. It was comical, like watching a good Chris Farley skit. But the groundhog persisted, and a couple minutes later, it made it onto the branch. We were like "what now? is the groundhog going to go higher?" The groundhog rested for about a minute, perked up, looked around, and then scurried down the trunk and back into hiding. To this day, I wonder what was going on there. Was the groundhog just trying to prove it was possible? Was it looking for something? Was it just having fun?

	♥ 11:15am Daybreak!: Here's an indoor animal encounter story: When I was my son's age, 11 or 12, my friends and I used to like to hang out in almost complete darkness, in my basement, playing video games. One morning while I was playing, I felt something soft brush against my leg. I thought it was my cat, but when I reached over to pet her there was nothing there. I jumped up screaming, as was the appropriate response, and so did all my friends. Once we got the lights on, we realized it was a 6 to 8 inch long, very skinny, mole that was blundering around the basement. My grandfather was visiting and came downstairs because of all the screaming. He took one disgusted look at all of us, reached down, grabbed the mole, and started carrying it upstairs to toss it out one of the doors. We all followed him. So we got to see the moment when, right as he got to the first floor, the mole bit him on the hand and he dropped it swearing! Now, all of the adults were screaming and chasing the mole around the first floor. They got it out eventually, but all that adult screaming sweet vindication! PS- my grandpa's finger was fine. It was only a flesh wound.
