A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Was just reading in the book “American Veda” about Swamini Turiyasangitananda- aka Alice McLeod Coltrane! She told an interviewer it means “the bliss of God’s divine music”…appropriately

i think, when possible, it's best to refrain from calling alice coltrane "alice" lest she give you a dirty look from beyond

Democracy is a general concept with moving parts. All in all it is a function that should always have motives toward perfecting itself. As we are part of the parts and it is an ultra potent steward of the future; Democracy.
Thanks to communications technology, We The People have one small step to take in order to take the power back from a representative system that is broken and badly bleeding.
Every single elected official acting as a voting representative (or small local body of representatives like a school board or town managers) MUST poll the constituents on who's behalf they have an official capacity to cast an official vote for, BEFORE casting any and all official votes!
Every constituent should receive a text message link and/or an email link in order to build a poll before an official vote is set to be cast on their behalf.
This will give the representation consistent and direct sense of what We The People are for and about. Moving parts. Collective will. If and when an elected official votes against the majority of their constituents on any issue, there will be evidence for that fact.
Ultimately, I feel like Direct Voting by constituents on every single issue is the best route for the purification and perfection of Democracy. To severely diminish and weaken the power and authority of representation and the current "Democratic" systems. To put the Power of The People into the hands of the People. Officially. That is the goal.
But this small step to polling is necessary for many reasons.
Do it! Talk about it! Find the tech company with the best polling product for your community. Demand polling from Congressional representatives etc etc etc!
