I saw the Descendents/ALL documentary, Filmage. Pretty good. Bill Stevenson->very interesting guy. Always liked the bands, but I don't think they ever, even once, had decent cover art on a release. I guess I like the way "DESCENDENTS" is always set in the same all-caps format.

My band does a lot of covers (half the set) but we try to keep them obscure. Alex Chilton once said something like"there were som many good songs out there not getting played, and somebody should play them" (that is a complete paraphrase. Maybe he didn't even mean it.) I grew up listening to the old 97s. Turned out a close friend from Texas went to school with the guitar player. He hooked me up with tickets to see them at the Brooklyn bowl but right before the show the power went out in the place. They came out and did an amazing acoustic set on the sidewalk
