Clay. The news of the loss of your Romulus saddens me. Tuesday was a particularly trying day around here and at about 3PM my boy Squeezle jumped into my arms, put his head and my shoulder, purred & told me "it will be alright baby." They bring such comfort the little aliens. They know. Peace.

I read Donovan's biography a few years back. Nice little story therein. Upon his first tour here from the UK, one night he met Stevie Wonder at a club. Stevie immediately sang "Wind" for the surprised Donovan.

4 years later, for his graduation he gave me a huge ziplock full off all sorts of packets- ketchup, mustard, mayo, maple syrup, etc. bag was packed as densely as possible. He wrote “the colonel “ on the label. Over the years they all started leaking and oozing and turning black. I had to triple bag it and wrap it with clear packing tape. Art lives and grows.

When I was in kindergarden the teach told us (small class) to go to the board & draw something we liked.
Most kids drew a dog, a cat maybe a crooked house.
Me..I drew a potato & was noisily putting the yes on it when I whisked away & punished for doing so.
I liked potatoes. A crime?
Ruined me for a long time someone else's negative opinion on what matters to me.
