Saturday I went to a MALL—crazy crowded, traffic, somewhat fun, terrible food, collapsed on the sofa. Sunday was a family party—lots of nieces and nephews and I feel like an alien, but that’s just the way it is.
Mom was happy, animated, exhausted. So was the cat. Life’s little things add up to a lot.
How about you? Drew? Stella and Ripley and the ducks? I hope you’re all smiling :D

Reagan, how did the puppy shots go on Friday? Was Ripley a good doggie? Wait, is Ripley male or female? Like Ripley in “Alien” or “The Talented Mr.”?

But I know that my posts are excessive. I say hello to almost everyone at the door and make sure everyone’s drinks are filled up. Too much. But I do enjoy the conversation and it helps many of us start the day with a hug.

All very interesting Eric.
I can only speak for myself, but when I'd go to a party I made it a point to talk to everyone in the room. I feel it's the polite thing to do. Some are more talkative than others & that's fine too.
I view these types of pages as multiple conversations in a room.
I'm an early riser, my love is not, so there's no one to talk to here except the cats until she awakens.
From Six to Nine AM, Monday through Friday you people are my confidants & I appreciate that fact immensely. :)
If limiting posts is a matter of bandwidth and costs for the station, I get that too. Everything comes at a cost.

Newton, I can relate 100% to this.
My severe back injuries took me out my work career at a very young age. I lost at least 15 years of good earnings, I am in chronic pain daily since 2007.
I loved what I did.
Doctors all said the same things to me.
I turned to one who flatly said to me "You need to quit your job" and I said "OK, can I move in with you then, because if I do quit my job I'll be homeless?" I understood his "logic" but the practicality of such an extreme move leaves much to be desired.
I pushed on for another three years & then my company fired me when I mentioned I had an appointment with a surgeon (but had no intent to get surgery) to document my case in case of future problems.
This after creating & running a department for the company, six months after I started there, which then grossed over $2.5M per year for the company, over a five year period.
I hope your issues stay away for good.
I too am on statins due to a heart attack in 2017.
No tendon issues here, but I'm no longer pushing my body the way I used to.
Everything comes with a cost/benefit equation I guess.
Be well!

I know very little about the technical limitations of a forum like this Accu, but I argue that the Accu is a place where conversation and support are shared freely. Sometimes when a Glistener is in need of support, as I have been on more than one occasion, other Glisteners will spend a lot of time and make multiple posts to try to understand and help the person in need. It happens and it works. Even for common misunderstandings about a song’s origins, the Glisteners take the time and make multiple posts.
I understand this is not a formal support group, but I also understand that we humans (?) connect in sloppy ways, and the struggle through the slop can help other Glisteners.
My apologies If none of this makes sense.
I wonder what I’ll do for Tuesday Music Trivia or Wavelengths, where I have to use multiple posts.

When people here "vanish" off the page the good people here worry about them.We all have things going on.
It's a very caring community of people of all types from all places & all walks of life.
Maybe that's being overly concerned but I think it's really nice that people care.

I've beeen supporting the station since 2015 or so pre wake for sure.
I had no idea there was a "limit"
I understand the idea behind it, & as you say, on some shows it hardly matters. I think here it's different.
Clay has imbued a very strong sense of very real connectedness & community among his listeners, so it follows that they'd be naturally more "talkative" here. As this morning is proving.
Either way, I'll play by the rules until I feel put out by them, then I'll leave as I did FB over 7 years ago after doing many fun things there for 12 years.
With me travels my wallet. ;)

Yes, Clay has created a caring community.
I just try to post less. (Some years ago there were some really heavy posters.) If necessary, I just write a longer comment on different topics in separate paragraphs like you're doing. I sometimes note the time the other person posted to me, so one can keep track. We can only refer back to one person, and this automatic function wasn't always there, just a few years old.
I'm okay with the rule. But I understand why folks get surprised.

Sure TDK. And 20 posts is fine most days.
Many years ago I was on a board here (when they were a new feature) under a different handle & I posted about how I met a guy who was an aviation engineer who worked on vertical takeoff fighter jets at an art show.
I was immediately banned.
I viewed that as censorship which I abhor in any form.
This is different of course.
Also many years ago I was a very strong supporter of WNTI-FM monetarily & otherwise.
The Freeform banner was waved prominently there for many, many years.
Then one day their PD accidently left a mic open while she was berating a DJ about not following their playlist, which they claimed NOT to have.
That ended my support of the station.
Life's about honesty to me.
Either one abides by it or not.
It's just my opinion of course and all are welcome to have theirs :)

Did you hear Carol Crow yesterday morning talking about the new Neil LP, it's packaging & his freezing out of ticket re-sellers (how I don't know but good for him)?
It was at the very end of her show near the 9 o'clock hour.

Hi Kevlicki. I owned one..A Teeter. I loved it, stretched out my back vertabrae nicely. Of course it doesn't last.
i had to stop using it though when a scan showed I have an aortic bulge (aneurysm) & the docs said it's not wise to continue.
I did accupuncture too for awhile but it became too expensive for me to continue.
Be Well.

Try walking backwards on a track for a mile everyday. Do good mornings with no weight. Sets of 10-15 and go from there. Do planks and strengthen yer core and that will help the muscles of the back and body baby.
Lotta Gimicks in the fitness industry. Jack LaLanne knew this so he tried to be as honest as possible. “If it tastes good spit it out” “if man made it don’t eat it” ya don’t get something for nothing.

I learned of it by accident one day when I was reading about Rob Grill (Grassroots) who I saw at a Fairgrounds show once in Middletown,NY. Rob was excellent, great voice. Creed's character on The Office was very low key funny.

Right on Paul.
Core strength is everything.
In my case because I have extreme nerve damage from 12 bad discs, strength training is very difficult. You have to find a very fine line balance.
Stretching is very beneficial :)
