Familiar & forgotten gems from 50-plus years of music on the darker side, shoegaze, synthpop, goth, psychedelia, darkwave, with unapologetic detours into 70s pop. In a dark night of the soul, it's always 3 o'clock in the morning.

Thank you, Julie, for urging me to pick up the Donovan box of early albums. Whew. A doozy.

(¿didn’t the film have its own different soundtrack?). I love & or appreciate most of The Who catalog up to say 1975 - beyond that it gets trickier. Imo, listening to the entire Quadrophenia on remastered 2xCDs was a revelation. It’s my fave, followed closely but “Sell-Out” (1967)

For me, the 'net has entailed an enormous expense of my time and energy not worth the benefit. The Zimbabwe example is an exception.
