Briggs's work was not universally acclaimed. Neal Smith of the Alice Cooper group later said "David (Briggs) hated our music and us. I'm familiar of course with the acrimony between Todd and Andy Partridge. And to my ears Skylarking is the best work that Todd has done as a producer for hire. But I wonder why most of these people put up with each other. I mean, if the parties mutually hate one another then why not void the contract
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:18pm
Matt from Springfield:

↳ Revolution Rabbit Nov63 @4:15
Objectively not the same at all - yet George evidently felt the same vibe while making both of them. Revolver is certainly an evolution from Rubber Soul, without which the '66 album would have sounded quite different.

'Producer' of course being a broad & vague term - the person essentially responsible for Producing an end Product to the Business creeps - or whomever. So can range from Business concerns (which should be Management or the Label Support ...or - simply saying - this is Okay, proceed & I *won't* interfere) - to creating the right creative atmosphere (like so to speak a theater director - using even negative psychology for motivation - or the reverse) ...to more of an Arranger (like Martin scoring for Beatles) - to overlap with the Engineer just getting the Sound Recorded. Or any possible combination of these.

I remember seeing them do this song live at The Bottom Line. One of the sisters had the coat this song was written about, which she proudly showed to the audience. Wow, if I saw that, it obviously went completely over my head! But a cute touch from Spielberg & Co.

"The Roches are an all-cockroach girl band who appeared in the "New Character Day" episode segment "The Roches".

Members
Maggie Roche: The oldest and leader of the Roches sisters, she has brown hair, brown eyes, and wears a light purple dress and light purple shoes.
Terre Roche: The middle of the Roches sisters, she has blonde hair, blue-green eyes, and wears a long-sleeved blue shirt with a white V collar, a light green skirt and blue shoes.
Suzzy Roche: The youngest of the Roches sisters, she has black hair with a pink bow tied to it, and wears a pink shirt with a open white jacket, black shorts and pink shoes.

Trivia
The Roches are based on the live-action all girl/sister band, The Roches, Even their names and appearance are based on them
The Real Roches sisters did the voice of their bug counterparts.
The Roches mentioned that they knew The Beatles when they lived in Liverpool. It's implied that The Beatles were actual beetles in the short."

I know I've said this here before, but the Canadian sketch comedy troupe Radio Free Vestibule did a great bit about a guy who only listens to bands with silly names, specifically Spookytooth, Mott the Hoople, and Belle Epoch. The skit ends with his friend tricking him into listening to "Hey Jude" by telling him the band is named Googlegax.
