A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

My days are filled with an overall feeling of disgust. Somehow I'm lucky enough to be able to fit other emotions and activities into my days.

Zinn The Mood:
Perfect melancholia for the way I’m feeling, on this overcast autumn day.
Lots of lamentation, for a whole host of things, coupled with the piled up chores and errands demanded of a stay at home Dad.
Conversation from last show touched on things like deleting old messages, storage space and Tuli and the Fugs. Occurred to me that while I loathe all the new tech’s stranglehold on us I do specifically appreciate being able to look back on certain conversations. Specifically that of my ex-wife, who passed away about a year ago, and myself. The expressiveness, the matched intellects and the sharing of life’s small moments from keen angles is a little treasure box I look forward to opening up at some point. Then there’s all the best intentions for a collection of Tuli’s books given to an activist group I was part of, a story I think I’ve told before, that never materialized.
More than ever I’m intent on reconnecting with old friends.
I won’t leave all that bittersweetness though. My 3rd grader told us a couple of times that in his lunch room the cafeteria erupted in chants of “Free Palestine.” Kids at or just shy of double digit ages standing (or sitting, as the case may be) for what is right.
I’m gonna keep reading “Everyday Utopia” by Kristen Ghodsee. Then there’s the falafel mix I’m trying to put together, a third load of wash to get to and then off to the loathsome experience of having to go to the DMV.
Thanks for the set, Trouble!

End result of town campaign activities: retained one borough council seat but didn't gain a second, but also gained a town school board seat AND blocked all the "parental rights" shits trying to get onto a local shared BoE.
