Over the years it’s gotten occasional comments (mostly favorable) but as you can imagine the commentary has picked up considerably in the past week or so. Most of the comments are variations of “how ironic that she appeared on a show called To Tell the Truth” and “it turns out they were ALL imposters”.
Gus’s take on it all is so much more nuanced and refreshing.

But that's not what the Buffy thing is about I don't think...
It would appear she knowingly falsified the whole Story - as much as Dylan Self-Mythologized in early years, & repeatedly.
Question then is - how does this singular deception - starting in a wholly different Era - but uninterrupted into Now - contextualize (I hesitate to say ...'color') everything else she ever did Musically & as an Activist. Which is - a whole Lot.

But I heard different now
...now being the only time I ever heard of Buffy's Origin Story @ all, in fact.
So ...back to the subject of My Ignorance...
& she sure does 'look the part'. But you'd have to - to 'pull it off'. If it's actually 'wearing redface' - that would be both more shocking - in terms of both deception - & in being unlikely...

After playing the “new single” and talking about it. AI Paul claimed to have 1,000 of new Beatles songs in the work and Tapes of John & Geroge getting sick in India- only John’s recording was more melodic and worthy of new songs

'Real Love' tho ...I thot Lennon's 'raw demo' version as used in the 'Imagine' biopic was in fact much better.
This one ...it's mixed.
Not to say in fact OverProduced. But I don't blame them. It does sound like exactly what it is, you're correct. But that's not all bad ...Lennon hadn't begun to Develop it - but who better to carry on that process than Sir Macca ? Answer: No One.
& the Technical aspect of pulling John's Voice (on the short list of My Favorite Musical Instruments Ever ...ymmv, as I suspect Irwin's might well...) - it's frankly amazing. Not only sounds incredible - but the implications for DeMixing other Recordings - very broadly - are king of staggering.
But they don't stop there : They pull Beatle Vocals out of their 60s work ...& on & on.
So ...as a FINAL BEATLES SINGLE - it's both kind of Minimal as Composition ...& Encompassing for Eras & Productions @ once...
coelacanth∅:

no.
not only is it a very safe bet that it's terribly (over) produced and showcases clichéd John tendencies and pop commercialism that Paul excels at; but it was likely written long after John had completely abandoned writing anything relevant.
no thank you.

The Lennon Estate has passed on to Sean, as it happens...
It's as much - or as little a McLennon Composition as many Classic Beatles. & more than ones they Wrote entirely separately - like 'Yesterday' or 'Strawberry Fields'. No one plays on it but JohnPaulGeorge & Ringo - & the Strings. Just like ...TheBeatles did...

Okay - you don't say you never liked them.
Have you listened to it ?
Is that how it sounds (& feels) to you ?
I will grant that Paul Solo has often been quantity over quality - & John - well - Quit.
But - thing this Demo shows is ...John didn't entirely quit. In fact - it was some self-mythologizing of his own (& Yoko's) - Hype if you will - that John become a HouseHusband & stopped Musicing...
& Macca still his some measure of skill(s) even now - I might venture on the odd day.

An opportunistic betrayal of good faith with Macca, certainly.
