Favoriting Acid Jazz Hands with Bronwyn Bishop: Playlist from July 28, 2023 Favoriting

Musical theater from off the beaten path. Obscure and unusual show tunes from within the canon and without, flops, failures, and the newest works from up-and-coming artists—plus tried-and-true hits. Also, occasional appearances from songs that are not show tunes (but only if they go really well with show tunes).

I saw Death in Venice fairly recently, but I liked it quite a bit more than Bronwyn does. One of the interesting things in it is the city's denial that cholera (or some plague) is in the city to avoid the loss of tourist dollars, partly reminiscent of a certain recent situation in, say, Las Vegas and the like.

Did you know that there's now a dental procedure that lasers away gum tissue where decay pockets stubbornly form? The idea is that it gives the shortened gum a chance to really heal ant tighten up around the roots. No insurance covers it yet, but my DDS offered me a $1700 "deal". Hope my HSA will cover it. Also, too: I have to REALLY learn to become a Water-Pik Master.

I may be getting David Yazbek muddled with David Weinstein (& Shelley Hirsch) “theatrical” music career.
- as well as my youthful connection to The Atlantic Theatre Company (bands visit & many others!). They usta do summer stock theatre productions in VT!
I would attend all I could (abt 4-5 a summer!). Rubbing shoulders in seats with Neil Pepe, Mary McCann, WHMacy(& girlfriend at the time), Clark Gregg, etc etc.

Not sure this sounds like a folk song. To achieve that, it should have a guy kill his only true love for no reason whatsoever and bury her by the river. Apparently, this was a great hobby of the folk, back in the day.
