You speaking of falling asleep on the subway reminded me of how I would sometimes fall asleep on the train home from work and miss my stop. And I even had two stops that were equally close to my apartment. I then had choice of riding several more stops to where I could cross over to the return tracks without exiting or exiting and paying another fare. Makes me wanna take a nap just thinking about it.

I’ve got some cubed feta marinating in evoo, fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, oregano), and red chili flakes. Tossed some together with tomatos and a drizzle of very nice balsamic for a salad last night. It was pretty delicious.

If I remember, I'll take a photo of the album cover from an early Sesame St LP I have. There's Oscar, bright orange!

Oh, good idea! I have some cubed feta left over from a thing I made the other night. I should marinade it in some stuff, too. I got really nice tomatoes from my CSA last week, and cucumbers, too. Hmm... I think I have just made dinner plans for tonight. Thanks, egould!

I have one w/ an orange (more of an apricot-yellow) oscar. also, some of the syndicated sesame streets they showed (at least through the mid 90s) orange oscar would appear very occasionally.

I've never seen a show with orange Oscar! I just know from the LP cover and from reading the story of how Oscar came to be.

If you forgot to applaud for Eric Dolphy, go back in time to earlier in the track and applaud for him, too. And in a minute or two, you can applaud for Richard Davis.

I actually dislike the audience response at jazz performances of clapping after every solo; makes it seem like a competitive sport, also drowns out the beginning of the next solo. (but that's just me).
