This track makes me feel like I'm in the midst of the twisters that wrecked the fictional Ohio town in the movie Gummo. This show always manages to bring the atmosphere. Nothing quite like cassette tape hiss to add a layer of murkiness to the sonic palette.

	💣 4:33am Krys O.: We had a tornado warning here in Bloomfield, NJ last year. I live on the 3rd floor of a 110 year old house. I had to grab my two kitties and put them in carriers. They thought I was crazy. I took them down to the basement. The warning lasted about a half hour. The tornado did damage to a house in nearby Verona. We get wind shears. One was particularly bad years ago knocking down hundreds of trees.

	4:36am fred: The earlier tornado chat reminds me that I once met a composer who wanted to have sound spatialization based on physical modeling of a tornado. He's from Missouri (obviously) but I think he now teaches at Columbia. I had put him in touch with researchers in physical modeling at the time, but I don't know if he ever went through with that piece (he applied for a residency, but it was mid 2019 then shit happened)

	💣 4:33am Krys O.: We had a tornado warning here in Bloomfield, NJ last year. I live on the 3rd floor of a 110 year old house. I had to grab my two kitties and put them in carriers. They thought I was crazy. I took them down to the basement. The warning lasted about a half hour. The tornado did damage to a house in nearby Verona. We get wind shears. One was particularly bad years ago knocking down hundreds of trees.

He's from Missouri (obviously) but I think he now teaches at Columbia. I had put him in touch with researchers in physical modeling at the time, but I don't know if he ever went through with that piece (he applied for a residency, but it was mid 2019 then shit happened)
