Regarding echo and reverberation, someone wrote on wikipedia:
"In comparison to a distinct echo, that is detectable at a minimum of 50 to 100 ms after the previous sound, reverberation is the occurrence of reflections that arrive in a sequence of less than approximately 50 ms."

So a matter of more or less than 50 to 100 milliseconds.

yeah. I grew up way out in the woods and far from any cool record stores, etc. Radio was my lifeline. Finding my local community radio station by accident was that Albert Hoffman bicycle ride moment for me.
Hearing the Residents, etc. on late night radio fucked me up for 'normal' music forever.

I'm glad you like it. I discovered this band by showing up to a gig they played in a coffee-roaster garage after hours. I was blown away. Every time I see they're playing, I go. Keene is about a half-hour from my house, so it's easy.

That was cool-sort of in the Horse Lords Genre (if there's a genre of rock oriented, indy, minimalist influenced instrumental music). Omoo Omoo are a bit less minimalist than Horse Lords, but do remind me of them (in a good way).

Back in the early 70s I purchased the "1000 Layers of the Onion" album by Incredible String Band and alienated a few friends by playing it all the time. Didn't faze me none. Still love their music today. Paraphrasing Mick Jagger a bit, "Sure, it ain't rock and roll, but I like it!"
