coel -- that Plymouth rocks!

Always wondered about this mystery: it seems to me that cars from that period weren't around long. Didn't see many at all of the late 50s/early 60s big finned boats by the early 70s, whereas mid-60s and then 70s cars were visible on the roads for good number of years after their own day, and in the decades since, 15 and 20 year vehicles are pretty common. Whyzat? Detroit hadn't nearly gotten to its shitty-manufacture period, so they wouldn't have been failing and dying rapidly, I don't think.

Woh. Wonder how many years exactly since I even thot of this song. It was certainly well-known in that period. One of those that was made fun of more than actually paid attention to - as little kids in say the early 1970s were wont to have done... But even then an element of 'came to larf stayed to pray' ? ...Or, no...

Same here-my parents' first/main language was Yiddish, but they made a point of speaking English to the kindelach, so I picked up phrases, some words, but can't really converse.
Now gotta really go.
