There are some folks that are loved unconditionally. Think that Tina Turner was one of them.

Thanks. This is actually a good personal status,
after a rough week of being sickly.
The real question is,
Will I have passes my full funk
On to my wife and son,
Or will they face only a glancing blow?

A sad & somber day as war has been the default position for much of humanity worldwide, for all of my 64 years on the planet.
So, I ask the question posed here in song by David Maloney wherein he asks the question....WHY WAR??
Maybe if we all sing it loud enough, together, it can become a reality.

Breakfast (eggs with mushrooms & orange peppers) is made.
Eggplant rounds out of the oven for parmigiana (eventually).
And finally some baked potatoes (209 degrees is perfect done temp, per the late X-Ray Burns & Jonesey) ready to be scooped out for twice baked later with dinner.
Now I take it easy :)

I would feed him opening the patio screen door a little more each time until eventually I could pet him & play with him with fuzzy toys.
After about a month he was rolling over on his back for a belly scratch.

We walked in and a really tall, bald man with a big mustache and an orange safety vest & flashlight took our tix and showed us to our seats.
Eventually, the show starts & Peter comes out dressed in white jeans, sneaks & a white t-shirt.
He sits at the electric piano & plays a few songs.
Then he steps to the edge of the stage and says.."I'm trying to find my band, maybe we need some light"
The stage lights spin back to the audience and from the rear of the venue comes several guys with flashlights & orange safety vests.
They all take the stage..his band.
It was Tony Levin who greeted & seated us. :)

Goes for all bands that have "radio success"
The stuff they don't play is usually more interesting than "the hit"

I got to work with his brother Jimmy in 99 when he was playing with Al Kooper's Re-Kooperators.
They were cutting tracks where i worked at Nevessa Productions, Woodstock
and we did a live recording at the now defunct Joyus Lake in Woodstock.

Up a hillside in the snow
Casting shadows on the winter sky
As you stood there counting crows
One for sorrow, two for joy
Three for girls, and four for boys
Five for silver, six for gold
Seven for a secret never to be told
But there's a bird that nests inside you
Sleeping underneath your skin
Yeah, when you open up your wings to speak
I wish you'd let me in

Americans understand that Memorial Day, or "Decoration Day," as my parents called it, has something to do with honoring the nation's war dead. It is also a day devoted to picnics, road races, commencements, and double-headers. But where did it begin, who created it, and why?
