A family friend, the late Lee Kleso owned an archery shop/range on Dayton Ave long ago. Now that area's called Botany Village, no?
I lived on Outwater Lane near School #5 from birth until HS graduation. I had cousins all over Garfield.
Don't really miss it as I've been in the area where I live now for 47 years now. This is home.

He did shows at the old Central Theater around the corner on Main Ave.
Pre-Scher, acts like Glen Miller & Frank Sinatra played The Central, which show all but x rated flix daily. I sat through Planet of the Apes marathons there.
Scher had acts ranging from Pink Floyd to The Allman Brotehers to Alice Cooper to Savoy Brown at The Central.
My brother saw Cooper & Savoy there.
Both The Capitol & The Montauk Theaters in Passaic became x rated movie houses in the 70's.
The Montauk was raided during movies several times. Public lewdness arrest were common there.
Wild times the 70's.
All gone

Ten years from now I'll be payin' still.
(while Whitey's on the moon)
The man jus' upped my rent las' night.
('cause Whitey's on the moon)
No hot water, no toilets, no lights.
(but Whitey's on the moon)
I wonder why he's uppi' me?
('cause Whitey's on the moon?)
I was already payin' 'im fifty a week.
(with Whitey on the moon)
Taxes takin' my whole damn check,
Junkies makin' me a nervous wreck,
The price of food is goin' up,
An' as if all that shit wasn't enough
A rat done bit my sister Nell.
(with Whitey on the moon)
Her face an' arm began to swell.
(but Whitey's on the moon)
Was all that money I made las' year
(for Whitey on the moon?)
How come there ain't no money here?
(Hm! Whitey's on the moon)
Y'know I jus' 'bout had my fill

I think I'll sen' these doctor bills,

I fortunately have today off from going in and teaching (May unused snow day), but I still have a some work to do today, but EVERYTHING can be more leisurely.
It's funny when your job is a repeated, yet still limited in each year's duration, there definitely are these huge crunch periods because there is a clear ending.
You can handle the end game differently every year (and I keep experimenting), but 20 years in, it is still more workable now than it's been in the past.

Very Worthy examination of their disillusionment after Ok Computer stardom. Creating new edgy stark turn of the century vibes via Kid-A & Amnesia albums ! (Apparently very unwelcomed by British press at the time!). USA supported the new more experimental direction (go-figure?!).
An Excellent listen. Personally, “in-rainbows” is a strong one for me, as it’s a blend of all their vibes.

Ike & Tina Turner recorded different renditions of the song without Spector's "Wall of Sound" production style. A version on the 1973 album Nutbush City Limits was released as a single titled "River Deep, Mountain High 1974" on United Artists Records in France. Another version from an undetermined year was released on the 1991 compilation Proud Mary: The Best of Ike & Tina Turner.
