February 27, 2023: Gaylord Fields discusses Spotify's AI DJ

Today: Gaylord Fields discusses Spotify’s AI DJ
• Gaylord Fields – archived shows. For new listeners looking for a place to start, one episode I particularly enjoyed was Nov 21, 2021.
• Rock & Soul Radio on WFMU has AI DJs of its own: OwlSun on the Night Owl Show, and the Bunny on Rock'n'Soul Radio. (OwlSun is named after Allison Steele, legendary DJ from WNEW-FM (NYC) in the 60s and 70s.)
• Spotify Just Launched A Personalized ‘DJ’ Powered By Generative And Voice AI (Music Business Worldwide, Feb 22, 2023): “The company is launching a ‘DJ’ feature, which it says is like an ‘AI DJ in your pocket” and adds that it serves as “a personalized AI guide that knows you and your music taste so well that it can choose what to play for you.’”
• Introducing DJ | Spotify – one-minute promo spot (warning, links to a fully surveilled Google/YouTube video)

Yeah, I listen to the streams only for specific DJs. I don't think I'd ever switch over when it's the robot -- I guess maybe during Jack LaLanne on Wake, but that's about it.
