	10:32pm coelacanth∅: when the great Skip James was "rediscovered" in the early 60s he was so bitter about his former music career that he didn't really take advantage of the new opportunities opening up for him. ...i guess he made some money finally but i'm not so sure he enjoyed it.

	11:08pm Franco Twinkie: A friend of mine started a Facebook page for the show we were on. He asked me to write about shows I had seen. It did something to me. I realized I loved to gurgle on about all manner of stuff.
	11:09pm coelacanth∅: i do not, Zipperhead. i did for a year and never figured out how to work it. it seemed like every basic thing was a huge process and some things i had no clue how to do -so i let it go. and when my good camera got stolen a few years ago i stopped taking pictures.

Mostly about the rise of techno in detroit, but covers, chicago, berlin, and UK (via detroit's influence). Each footnote sends me on rabbit holes that last hours (part of the reason it's taking me so long to read). Other afro-futurisms are also covered...

Everyone! been lurking, music and vibes really are "healing" (for lack of a better description!) -- so much bad stuff going on out there, so draining -- and i agree re: social media -- i still have twitter, FB, IG -- which i did love at one point, so joyful reconnecting with friends who are now living far away! and of course advocacy work/outreach (but even there, people could get so freaking negative/toxic/egotistical -- so sad) . . . so most likely will dicth the social media, but gotta exchange email addresses with friends, and figure out other ways to do the activist stuff . . . all this babbling to express that YES the WFMU comments boards really are the best social media gotta go back to lurking -- still really under the weather, wiped out (going for another covid test on Tuesday) -- but i am so damned happy to be here with you all :)
