	♥ 7:20pm Austin Rich: If you're like me - and I know I am - then you probably miss going to bars and clubs a fair amount. (I haven't been "out" since we started isolation.) When it's safe again, I'm torn regarding the first bar I should go to. Portland has two: The Coffin Club, and Creepys, that are both weird and wonderful and have great drinks. And then in Eugene, there's an actual Tiki bar, with a patio and whatnot, that we still haven't checked out. Those those are the bars I dream about at night.

	7:28pm Mr Fab: I know what you mean, Austin - I did Tiki Oasis festival a year ago, then back to hiding from the world. Even tho I got my booster, I'm not really in the habit of going out much. But Mrs Fab and i did recently go to a mini-festival called Tiki Noir that really was more monster/goth than noir. Def tiki, tho. Some excellent band like The Hula Girls played, burlesque dancers did their thing, cocktails were quite good. Felt good to be back. And those Portland joints sound way cool! Now I know what to do should I ever visit the frozen northlands.

	♥ 7:43pm Austin Rich: I find that I have a certain prejudice toward enjoying music old enough to contain a crackle, where I expect it to already be good. But if I'm recording music? Better be razor-sharp, super-clean. We can add a layer of noise afterwards, if necessary.

	♥ 7:46pm postconsumer: Austin - that's exactly it, for me. I've added scratchy record sounds in, afterward, in my own stuff, but only in one or two places, where I thought it was needed. It's not always needed... but at home, on the hi-fi, it's cozy as heck. :)

When it's safe again, I'm torn regarding the first bar I should go to. Portland has two: The Coffin Club, and Creepys, that are both weird and wonderful and have great drinks. And then in Eugene, there's an actual Tiki bar, with a patio and whatnot, that we still haven't checked out. Those those are the bars I dream about at night.

But Mrs Fab and i did recently go to a mini-festival called Tiki Noir that really was more monster/goth than noir. Def tiki, tho. Some excellent band like The Hula Girls played, burlesque dancers did their thing, cocktails were quite good. Felt good to be back. And those Portland joints sound way cool! Now I know what to do should I ever visit the frozen northlands.
