To some extent, my uninformed opinion was vindicated, because early efforts at AI proved to have mistaken its direction. Kostabi: I knew him in Whittier in the late '70s. I even have his very first publication, a book of line drawings. Later I visited his atelier in NYC, where I reminded him and his brother (he of Youth Gone Made) of our many interactions in the record store where I worked. Mark gave me a bunch of his later books to donate to the public library where I worked. He also gave me his first CD, a recital of his music on solo piano.
