Foutracbaldisco It was. I also saw Iggy Pop there in 1980 or 1981. He ended up going on at 2:00 a.m. after a dispute with the venue over something. He opened the show saying, "This is the last time I play this f*&cking place." They tore the place down with their music. There is nothing like a raging Iggy.

@rx scabin: Incredible! You were at the right time at the right place! Living in France, I regret to have not seen so many US bands I love. I went to USA only once, one week in NYC, it was in 1991,May , and that week, luck was really on my side: I asked The boss of Midnight Records, J.D. Martignon (a french guy who had a label and a records shop in Mahnattan) which concerts I had not to miss, telling him I was a fan of Big Black, Sonic Youth, Butthole Surfers, Chrome...he answered me I had to see The Jesus Lizard at Maxwell's, Hoboken, two days later. I didn't know this band at all. I want to thank, here, J.D. Martignon for his advice because it was (in "rock" category) the best concert I have ever seen in my life.

@Puravida: great!!! They will play at Lyon (the closest town from my home) next november. I never saw The Cure live! So perhaps I will go to this show (it would be time!). I 'm an absolutely fan, as many other ones, of the first three albums of The Cure ( when I'm feeling depressed or empty, I have sometimes the desire to listen to the two albums Seventeen Seconds and Faith, and I'm feeling better. (Sorry to be so slow to answer you friendly listeners! It's a work for me!)
