Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47pm

I have friends who are still getting Covid despite their taking precautions. So yeah, it's not madness. It's societal carelessness.

Choice with regret suggests submission.
Avatar 9:48pm
MarciB:

@Paranoia well, I'm glad you are having fun! My husband has been pretty cloistered too but he decided to "live" and eat indoors with friends. He got Covid and gave it to me. We are self-employed and don't get time off for the 2 weeks we were sick - and it was not fun. I have immune issues and this was the last thing I needed. So please, realize not all of us are comfortable risking our health right now.

It all comes down to weighing your options and making the best choice you can in any situation...

I don't htink I have regret? Oh heck do I? Anyhow, again everyone, kindness works. Choice is choice and what it manifests and suggest may not be anyone else's business. Listen to Beach House....

@MarciB just ignore the troll, it will go away
  9:50pm

Had Covid. Didn't even know it until I was tested. I'm self employed. Tired of the hysterical fear of death. If Covid kills you it was meant to be. Stop living like a scared child.

FOMO (regret) is kind of a privileged luxury. I had to pass on a Robyn Hitchcock show and some others so far this year. I have tickets for a few things, indoors and out. Do not care if I'm judged for masking or whatever.

theres a good documentary called Cutting Corners about corruption in real estate development and dangerous building practices in Philly. The construction industry is so dirty

Hells Angel's - 1974-76 my girlfriend (she a wee 13 and me a 14) was the babysitter for a part of the Hells Angeles from Bklyn .. as in the article above said ... "they seemed scary but they were nice .. " They killed without afterthought but they were lovely parents .. on a calm night out, they would bring the 3-5 children to the house (not the 3rd St clubhouse) ... hide the guns in the wall behind the kitchen, kiss the kids and go ... home around 2-3 am, pay my girlfriend (extremely well) and send us home (to our stash pad) in car service ... But they could cut off somebody's fingers and then shoot them and then go to Lenny's Clam bar in Sheep's Head Bay ... ???
I never understood torture and murder ... I ran away ...

Good lord I'm going to be humming that Manteez bass line to myself all night
@Mr Pumpy While my mother was no punk rocker, she did influence my taste in music (Stones, Floyd, Doors, etc.) and for that I am indebted to her. Op Ivy is some good shaving cream!

morphe': What a tale! No good comes from hanging around such people. There are no rules that protect you. Scary shit.

@RRN63 I do that almost every night. It's comforting, just like hanging around you fine people.

RRN63: Done it before (when home alone, of course) and found it just fine.
