Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:12pm

The flip side of Industrial Musicals were Ad campaigns like this, sometimes with dozens of bands doing their thing with the Product's theme song. Coca Coloa, Pan Am, and bunch others.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:12pm
Funky16Corners:

Nice that they could be nostalgic about the 60s in 1970
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13pm
Discotech Underground:

Back then, car companies always had new model roll out presentations that were often similar to broadway shows! Some of them even had celebrities and broadway stars in them! I have been them with Florence Henderson for Oldsmobile!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13pm
Funky16Corners:

@Webhamster Henry - This bunch interests me in particular because of a strong Sunshine Pop pedigree. The Bahler brothers, who show up everywhere on that scene were involved
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14pm
Funky16Corners:

@Kip - There's a Going Thing TV special with Phyllis Diller!

Copied & pasted from Wikipedia:
The Tuareg today inhabit a vast area in the Sahara, stretching from far southwestern Libya to southern Algeria, Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso.[7] Their combined population in these territories exceeds 2.5 million, with an estimated population in Niger of around 2 million (11% of inhabitants) and in Mali of another 0.5 million (3% of inhabitants).

I love BST, too, but the arrangement on this (Thanks David Axelrod) is SUBLIME
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm
StringOFperils:

David Clayton-Thomas' bombast gets filtered out on this, so it's more like Bobby Womack. BUT BS&T is great too

@ Larry > 1976 rr 1977 Winnipeg Folk Festival....which was like a time machine at the time...multiple tiny stages of at-that-time forgotten artists, and fading folk stars....Odetta, Elizabeth Cotten, Tom Paxton, Eric Andersen, U. Utah Phillips,...and I seem to remember Hamilton Camp....and many more, like a lot of people played over a three day weekend. I was there for about 3 of those, and worked the gate to get in free once.
