The dude playing the valve horn contraption looks unnervingly like Hitler. But since this was from 1935, I'm guessing it's someone else.

Pittsburghers are a hardy folk. Still, it's unnerving given that there are bridges almost literally everywhere. Jessie and I took a walk with the dog through Schenley Park last weekend. The trail goes under a bridge of very similar design to the one that collapsed. The underside of the bridge is a ridiculous rusty mess. I drive over this bridge practically every day.

I live two blocks from Jerry's Records. Spent many hours thumbing through the dusty treasures there. Spent many hours both buying and selling LPs with Jerry. He was a gem. On a couple of occasions, I realized that I was buying back from him records I'd sold to him previously. (What the hell am I thinking selling LPs anyway?!?!) When I mentioned it to Jerry, he chuckled with delight and cut his price in half.

I kept listening to the show for encouragement, but it's a ratzenfratzenfrickenfracken triple-test of patience and endurance. Not done yet.
I also think we're all qualified now for a musician's union card or associate's degree after such intensive engagement with the technical explanation of how them instruments work.
