There is a "tradition" of that kind of communities in Portugal - Monte Sahaja is based in Odemira - Algarve mountain and ocean-wise, where dutch, english and other north of Europe guys come to live - cheapely and with their families sometimes. Kind of agrarian, planting their food and so on, planting and smoking their weed, sometimes education their children by their own. Sometimes reports arise of strange situations, but, I guess that the prisitne and beautiful area of rivers coliding with moutains, oceans, and so on mixed with with this "aliens" living with older portuguese remainers makes it difficult to analyze and scrutinate.
