I have friends there who always say that's where the weather starts on the west coast.. since it comes off the north Pacific they never know how significant it will be until it actually arrives! In early '00s perused the web site, bought a few CDs from Irwin Chusid, but didn't make a login and start commenting until started listening to BPN on the rock & soul stream. Wanting to add my 2 cents to the party. A few months later I was donating. No turning back since.

Helping get my daughter settled in the Upper East Side apartment. Wrapped up an old table, tied it into a bike rack, drove it in. Wouldn't go in get door. Took the door off-still wouldn't go. Took the top off the legs-still couldn't get it in. Just take it back on the bike rack, will take it back to New Jersey. Long day of work, not much to show for it. Some days are just like that...

Next time Lilly is in NYC, mid February @Mercury Lounge, I'm hoping it will be possible to get out and see her.. I've missed Lilly too many times in the past few years.. I think Mercury Lounge is still the best sounding small venue in NYC. Glad she's playing there!

Me too Gina! We were probably at some of the same shows.. but who was to know?! Wow! You really do know it from the very beginning! I always felt the folks that owned it really liked music! So its always had that vibe.. plus the sound is unusually great and the room is just the right size! I know it was owned by the Bowery Ballroom folks, but I think that may have changed.. It feels like lifetimes have passed since I've been there!
