Was listening to an interview with Stampfel - & while he was making this recent project of recording all these Classic old songs thru the decades ...sounded a little bit like Richard Thompson's Millennium project - a deep historical dive if maybe only recent Centuries ...& Peter's voice gave out completely in the middle of it - like clinically & totally - Dysphonia...

LittleDanny : I wish I remembered what Program I heard this on - some NPR I suppose?... maybe Aquarium Drunkard ?? Well his voice then has became even more of a threshold for listening than it might already have been - quite seriously. Some are pre & some are post this ? Otherwise - the song choice & the intention are of course presenting these 'Hits' of now receding eras in a different light than as outmoded & unrelatable - yerknow - on their own terms rather than as naive from our perspective...
