My coffee chi has become very disjointed and misaligned. I sprayed boiling water over my face (yes, it blistered), I have had a couple failed Aeropress experiences over the weekend, a French Press break, wasted coffee grounds.
Please, dear Lord Garbage, I beseech thee to send the cosmic coffee realignment properties of 9:42 to me this morning.

...I just wonder why we don't hear Matt really Sing - since he really can. But no pressure on a Creative.
Pick up my gittar & I still wanna sound like Clapton in Cream. The most confounding Artist for me for contrasting Worship & utter Disinterest. He needs pressure - shouldn't be Solo & unsupervised... Clay could straighten him out...

The city of Jersey City has asked WFMU to prove that its programming has educational value, as a condition of keeping its tax exemption. This is a serious matter to the financial health of the station.
As part of this effort, we're asking our listeners to provide letters or emails explaining how and why WFMU's programming has not just entertained them, but has also provided educational value. The educational value can be related to the history and relationship between culture or ideas, or more direct value such as information about any matters of public importance. Tell us how you have gained knowledge through the time you have spent listening to WFMU.
This is a serious effort to address an important disagreement WFMU is having with the city of Jersey City. Whether you are an educator, a student or merely a student of life, please help us out with a thoughtful letter or email, and please keep them to 300 words. Letters should address the City of Jersey City, and can be emailed to helpus@wfmu.org by May 28th. Thank you for your help.

I am writing to share my view on WFMU's educational value.
I am a product of a New Jersey public school education in a racially and economically diverse area. WFMU is a stellar example of celebrating and enriching the diverse culture of New Jersey and Jersey City.
Many view NJ as "one thing" and NJ is naturally overshadowed by its proximity to NYC. NJ is a diverse culture and not the mono-culture presented on commercial radio.
Community and artistic diversity is the touchstone of WFMU and through it's welcoming attitude and programing promotes community engagement and education. We learn so much about one another and our community and artistic diversity from WFMU programming.
I could go on, but I know you want this to be brief.
Sincerely,
Jeff Sanders

Take it easy, Garbage Wolves -- but take it!
And write them letters.

To Whom It May Concern,
WFMU has been an extraordinarily valuable educational source in our lives. I have learned so much about music history which carries over into political, scientific, and cultural history.
The music brings great joy in our homes and lives. Beyond that, connecting music, artists, and formats with technoligical advances, political climates, and popular culture enriches our lives and adds great meaning to what some folks simply call music. Many examples come to mind but I will provide one that stands out to me. I wan't aware of the Khmer Rouge period in Cambodia. "An estimated "90% of Cambodia's musicians, dancers, teachers, and instrument makers" were killed, interrupting the transmission of cultural knowledge to following generations." The music from Cambodia in that period is very interesting.
We are avid listeners day and night, in our homes and cars, and of-course, mowing the lawn! Please consider WFMU as the educational source that it really is to spread knowledge!
