	9:38pm Mr. Pumpy: slug! My students had some interesting things to say. I have tone student who is high functioning autistic, and he just went ballistic. I had to pull him in eventually. He has some truly great insights, but it often quickly goes from implying that anyone who thinks differently than him is a moron to him outright saying that! Ha! The other kids in that class are great, though. They get it, and they wait and let me get things settled down. In general I had a lot of students that acknowledged the historical significance of today's events, and shared some quality insights. My fifth period class is a day or two ahead of my other classes, so I told them this was the day, when I was their age, that a television would be rolled into the room on an A.V. cart so we could watch certain events. Being I'm teaching remotely, I told them where they could find the inauguration online and gave them the choice to watch it or work on something else quietly. The timing worked out such that we saw pretty much the whole thing fifth period and I still had a few minutes for discussion before the bell rang. Good stuff!

	9:38pm Mr. Pumpy: slug! My students had some interesting things to say. I have tone student who is high functioning autistic, and he just went ballistic. I had to pull him in eventually. He has some truly great insights, but it often quickly goes from implying that anyone who thinks differently than him is a moron to him outright saying that! Ha! The other kids in that class are great, though. They get it, and they wait and let me get things settled down. In general I had a lot of students that acknowledged the historical significance of today's events, and shared some quality insights. My fifth period class is a day or two ahead of my other classes, so I told them this was the day, when I was their age, that a television would be rolled into the room on an A.V. cart so we could watch certain events. Being I'm teaching remotely, I told them where they could find the inauguration online and gave them the choice to watch it or work on something else quietly. The timing worked out such that we saw pretty much the whole thing fifth period and I still had a few minutes for discussion before the bell rang. Good stuff!
