For this Random Road, I did not know what to expect exactly. Perhaps there would be some second and third tier versions of communist songs that sovmusic felt required to upload.

Well they seem to be Arranged & Produced to maintain both a 'positive' mental attitude - & conformity. To compare & contrast with the Musics of our giant Market 'Demcracies' is, I think, instructive.
I always reflect on Fascists (Red or otherwise) generally promoting a kind of bad tasteless NeoClassicism in the Arts. (Or else.) & of course Nationalism (...that's what Marx promoted ...wasn't it ??...)

Well the general mass of North Koreans are True Believers in the Cult - or beyond terrified to expose the slightest hint of the contrary, is my presumption. Far beyond the case of wondering if Shostakovich was writing for or against Stalin even.
So I suppose the question is how sincere or coerced it all is. & then - how much authentic Korean Folk voice survives this blight : would that be allowed in this Nationalist culture or no...

Cause in the Soviet situation many native territories were superseded. But Korea by contrast is a single ethnic identity divided North - South. Maybe.
