On March 21, 1976, Sabich returned to his house after a meeting with his longtime friend and coach, Beattie. The two planned to have dinner in Aspen later that night. Sabich never made the appointment. He was shot in the stomach that afternoon by Longet while taking a shower.

In 2011, I had the good luck to be in London with The Monkees for a taping of Later with Jools Holland. John Paul Jones was performing with Seasick Steve. And when I had a minute alone with him, this was the album we talked about. He had good memories - his arranging on it is perfect

If you all are interested, the book ‘The Worst Band in the World’ by Liam Newton tells the story of 10cc, but there is a nice chunk of writing about Graham and Eric Stewart pre-10cc, as well as Lol Crème and Kevin Godley. I recommend it strongly.
