As an outa work actor, I worked as Santa in a local department store, (Myer) I was that kind of Santa. Bad Santa movie is my bible.

Scott67, your experience reminds me of a few years ago when I agreed to play Santy for a neighborhood party on Xmas eve. It was 23C and I was fully costumed. Miserable.

Pauly, not fun. My gig lasted 2 weeks. And I did a 6 hour meet Santa session outdoors, in the sun on a 38c day. I but my suit in a bucket when I took it off.
