I just watched the Hollies doc, Look Through Any Window, yesterday!!! I probably learned more about them then I needed, but it was worthwhile. It also did what most music documentaries don't do, they played the songs all the way through. Some of the performances were pretty ragged, but I appreciated that they didn't try and clean them up.

I was at a Dolly Parton show in Golden Gate Park about 15 years ago for Hardly Strictly. She was blatantly lip syncing and at the band was playing to a tape. At one part the bands tape faded out and some of the band stop miming and some kept doing the act. Then the audio came back up blaring loud and band resumed the fraud.
