	10:47pm still b/p: My li'l ol' Toyota's fine...though age brings adventures: the gas tank dropped alarmingly low last week due to a strap rust-through failure, and I learned yesterday when trying to gas up again for first time after the repair that the weight-drop had PULLED the neck inward/downward so tight I thought I wasn't gonna get the cap open. The good news is that my jury-rigged chain under there as a temp belt-up to allow driving to garage was described as a "good job" by my mechanic. And, yea, the unhandyman's ego was stroked a little bit. And may the truck serve many more years

Many people have bent and folded themselves into the Xtra cab little back seat, and when they get out it's like going through birth again. i should charge for the experience of renewal.

I simply adore a show broadcast (still to this day, I believe) on KPFK in Los Angeles, "The Car Show," which is among the most intelligent talk shows I've ever heard on radio. These guys (mostly) get it. They do talk about history, design, racing, new models... But ultimately I despise cars.

	♥ 11:15pm coelacanth∅: my parents almost bought a checker -c.1970. they stopped making changes to the design in 1967, so it was a new 1967 car in 1970. checker gave it to us for a few weeks to test drive it. the talk at school was that we got a cadillac; i'm like that doesn't look like a cadillac! us kids pushed for the checker, with the jump seats and all, but they went with the chevy kingswood wagon. that turned out to be a lawsuit-sized lemon and almost killed my mother.

The hydraulics had collapsed and it got stuck on the apron of the drive way. I had to tie a hauser rope to the front of my car and pull it. I snapped the rope. I left my car there and walked home(fuck you dean) I never saw that tank again. I think Andy called a wrecker.

	10:47pm still b/p: My li'l ol' Toyota's fine...though age brings adventures: the gas tank dropped alarmingly low last week due to a strap rust-through failure, and I learned yesterday when trying to gas up again for first time after the repair that the weight-drop had PULLED the neck inward/downward so tight I thought I wasn't gonna get the cap open. The good news is that my jury-rigged chain under there as a temp belt-up to allow driving to garage was described as a "good job" by my mechanic. And, yea, the unhandyman's ego was stroked a little bit. And may the truck serve many more years

I left my car there and walked home(fuck you dean) I never saw that tank again. I think Andy called a wrecker.
