	6:49am morphe': Yeti - I'd do a day space trip and skip the motel - that is actually what I often do when hiking or going to a coast. I do sometimes sleep in a refuge in the high mountains - prefer under a rock crevice or on the beach .....
	6:49am dale: woo - it's my shoe in the door when i have to throw a handful of dirt on the accu carpet to demonstrate the cleaning power of the new electrolux tank vac complete with crevice tool, rug beater, and that sprayer that you attach to a mason jar. oh - and the bag for storage of your fine woolens that you can blow camphor into to stop unsightly and expensive moth damage.

	7:43am Handy Haversack: Moto, YB, fortunately I was 5' from shore when it happened and so was able to get myself rescued pretty fast. But my brain really tried to shut down from the shock -- which is a major danger in cold-water capsizes. Inflating my PFD sort of snapped me back somewhat, and I was able to flounder over to the ladder. ALSO fortunately, we were very close to home and ten mins. later I was in a hot shower. And of course we never go out alone in cold weather, so there were others around who could deal with the boat and with getting me into dry socks and a survival blanket -- which I carried with me. So, lots of preplanning for just such a thing made it OK if still scary. I imagine all the Polar Bear Club---type activities have similar levels of preplanning.

He runs marathons in arctic with only shorts and his breathing is so perfected that his body temperature does not change and heart rate one of the best in world. He trains many world class athletes. 	7:43am Handy Haversack: Moto, YB, fortunately I was 5' from shore when it happened and so was able to get myself rescued pretty fast. But my brain really tried to shut down from the shock -- which is a major danger in cold-water capsizes. Inflating my PFD sort of snapped me back somewhat, and I was able to flounder over to the ladder. ALSO fortunately, we were very close to home and ten mins. later I was in a hot shower. And of course we never go out alone in cold weather, so there were others around who could deal with the boat and with getting me into dry socks and a survival blanket -- which I carried with me. So, lots of preplanning for just such a thing made it OK if still scary. I imagine all the Polar Bear Club---type activities have similar levels of preplanning.

He runs marathons in arctic with only shorts and his breathing is so perfected that his body temperature does not change and heart rate one of the best in world. He trains many world class athletes.
