The chances that anyone will recognize today's mystery LP-under-the-cassettes are very slim -- particularly since I turned the jacket sideways. But, still .. any guesses?

I thought of Ralph Steadman on the cover.
Avatar 12:07pm
Tony Coulter:

Hey, there Coel and Kay!

It's not a Steadman cover -- although for some reasom I can't define, I know what you mean.

This is wonderful to listen to! I am from Cleveland (up until age 45) and now Brooklyn. I was/am friends with Bob Drake and Kristen Ban Drake, and many other Cleveland poets, alive and dead.

Yes, sadly, I'm not allowed to archive these Tape Hiss shows because I play complete releases.

There's at least one more TapRoot tape ... which I'd love to find (and play on this show).

Hey Tony. So Station Mgr Ken was in a dream of mine last night. Is it safe to talk about it here? No goat screams will be necessary.

Do tell....

Wayback Machine "saw" the file, but didn't grab it.
Avatar 12:55pm

Hey, Dean!

Look, but don't touch. See, but don't grab.
  12:57pm
Mark Williams:

Ha. I expected that response... well, we (me and some folks) were on a small bus/van and he was driving. He was being all ring-leaderish, but he was also drunk as f***. He kept swerving and we kept coming very close on curves to going over some railing. Well we finally did and I and a friend were catapulted through the window into a small stream. All in all, we were fine and quickly on our way. No idea what happened to drunk-ass Station Mgr Ken.

It's not that easy to find, unfortunately, but a few tracks from it are on that recent Guerilla Welfare comp I just mentioned on mic ... this thing: www.discogs.com...

By the way, the woman on the cover of this Zweig/Di Stefano cassette is the French explorer I just mentioned -- Alexandra David-Neel.
