	6:26am Gerry from Miami: CLAY, to honor our country and the men and women who served in our armed forces, I want to make you aware of something called OUR 50 STATES PROJECT. This is a musical package that has been put together by comedian Joey Clift. Mr. Clift became aware of recording artist Sufjan Stevens's attempt to make a series of albums, one for each of the 50 states. Stevens completed two if these recordings, "Illinois" and "Michigan, " before abandoning the concept. But Clift managed to round up over 200 contributors to actually complete Stevens's idea. These folks actually put together 52 albums(one for each state plus one for US territories and even one for the moon, where the American flag was placed back in 1969) containing 510 songs. I am hoping you and the station will be able to obtain this set and have all this "homegrown" music available to play for your audience. Greetings to you on this Veterans' Day from a Vietnam vet! My friend Sandra got married at the party wearing a custom corduroy wedding dress. It was beautiful if you can believe it.

My only brush with Andy Partridge and XTC was on their "English Settlement" tour. After a long delay, one of their roadies came out to inform the audience that Andy was not feeling well and that the concert was cancelled. Hmm.... Andy had a renowned case of "stage fright." But Happy Birthday to him and Marshall, both great pop artists!

They bused us into the park with free admission and even a box lunch! By the way, the guest emcee for the Marshall Crenshaw gig was none other than Jerry Mathers, THE BEEV!!

	6:26am Gerry from Miami: CLAY, to honor our country and the men and women who served in our armed forces, I want to make you aware of something called OUR 50 STATES PROJECT. This is a musical package that has been put together by comedian Joey Clift. Mr. Clift became aware of recording artist Sufjan Stevens's attempt to make a series of albums, one for each of the 50 states. Stevens completed two if these recordings, "Illinois" and "Michigan, " before abandoning the concept. But Clift managed to round up over 200 contributors to actually complete Stevens's idea. These folks actually put together 52 albums(one for each state plus one for US territories and even one for the moon, where the American flag was placed back in 1969) containing 510 songs. I am hoping you and the station will be able to obtain this set and have all this "homegrown" music available to play for your audience. Greetings to you on this Veterans' Day from a Vietnam vet! My only brush with Andy Partridge and XTC was on their "English Settlement" tour. After a long delay, one of their roadies came out to inform the audience that Andy was not feeling well and that the concert was cancelled. Hmm.... Andy had a renowned case of "stage fright." But Happy Birthday to him and Marshall, both great pop artists!
