When I was in college, I worked in a restaurant, and a lot of times I'd be on the same shift with a waitress named Mara or Marla or something, and every time the kitchen would call out one of our names for an order that was up, we'd both go back there. So finally, I said, "To clear up the confusion, from now on call me Chepito." (A name I'd stolen from one of Santana's percussionists, the self-proclaimed "most popular man in Nicaragua.") And thenceforth, I was Chepito.
