	9:51am Stork: @Dr Jazz - that whole not showering thing is true. I've been doing it on the advice of my dermotologist for the past 2-3 years and - though you get a lotta silly blowback - it all checks out. As you get older, your skin loses its acidity and you start to have problems if you keep washing what acid there is off yer dermis all the time. i switched to cleansing oil, and i shower twice a week. And even when my show stinks, I don't!
	9:53am Stork: Also the longer you practice these habits, the more your body finds its natural Ph balance again, and your sweat glands start to function normally again.

	10:23am Stork: It's a sweet one, DrJazz. Johnny Smith didn't really write that much of his own material, but Mary and Bill play the stuff Johnny loved best, and they follow in his footsteps without even pretending to do so, if that makes sense. And Smith did write the title track, "The Maid WIth the Flaxen Hair," and it's a stunner - Johnny's version and theirs.
	🥁 10:23am Listener Gregory: I heard this Tentet live at Tonic. That was an experience. In some ways, it seemed a shame, because any of the musicians could have played for an hour and entertained us, but they all shared the stage generously.

	10:25am Stork: Hiyo, Uncle M! Loved Ribot in the 90's - haven't kept up with him - no special reason why not.
	10:25am Jeff Golick: ...and to think people believe Pixies/Nirvana came up with quiet/loud/quiet.
	10:27am Stork: I saw Ribot with Elvis C. on the Spike tour - that was an excellent chemistry with ribot and the Attractions.

	10:41am TDK60: I went to my first open mike since February this week. Smaller attendance, just several people on a stoop and sidewalk; with a mic thru a guitar amp.
	10:46am Stork: Moved to the balcony. Digging the show, and the ivy-covered brick-wall of the facing house turn from green to a deep, fiery red. Fall is always longer here in northern Yurp than back in NJ.

I've been doing it on the advice of my dermotologist for the past 2-3 years and - though you get a lotta silly blowback - it all checks out. As you get older, your skin loses its acidity and you start to have problems if you keep washing what acid there is off yer dermis all the time. i switched to cleansing oil, and i shower twice a week. And even when my show stinks, I don't!
